Milk & Honey

This is a cafe, hidden in the newly established area,  here in Napier. Ahuriri is a beautiful location, for your next new brunch spot or that late night wine .
As you walk into this cafe, you are always bound to have a few customers scattered around, with their coffees and  incredibly presented lunches/brunches.

This place oozes spunk. Its edgy yet it has a calm feel to it, you are seated by one of the waitresses and then asked what would be the order. Everything just seems very easy going, as if you could stay here for the rest of the day.

This particular day, I was craving a piece of banana bread
to assit my mocha. It came out with a beautiful walnut butter cream, as easily melted on top of the warm banana bread. Oh it was an easy stay, drinking coffee & people watching. You could tell who the locals were, and seeing what types of people walking in. This is my favourite part, aside of the coffee, to people watch and see all the magnificent food creations being brought out to people.

This is not the first time of coming to this cafe before, I'd previously come with my Husband, to have brunch. I could possibly say I had the best french toast in the whole world. I always ask the waitresses what their favourite brunches are, and this particular time, the waitress suggested, to mix a berry compote, with a vanilla bean butter, bananas and bacon. Oh and don't forget the syrup that drips over it easily. This was melt in your mouth material. Again, the coffee that assisted this brunch, was divine  a strong trim flat white. Perfect for any slow saturday morning.

Go a head, try this cafe out, you won't be disappointed in how original their food is, and how easily their coffees can be drunk.

Enjoy x
